The exhibition of the 2006 National Gingerbread House Competition began this past Monday and continues through Jan. 6 at the Grove Park Inn in North Asheville. To the right are the third- and fourth-place finishers, respectively, in the adult category. The house on the left was built by Virginia Pilarz of Mission, Kans., and the one on the right by Donna Rorabaugh of Rochester Hills, Mich.
