GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The “Atlanta Pops Holiday Radio Show Live!†will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 in the Niswonger Performing Arts Center, 212 Tusculum Boulevard, here.
As for the show, an event promotion stated, “Jump back in time to the 1940s, when radio was king and Christmas was on the air.
“Hear your favorite holiday classics, duets and more. Start your season off with a little nostalgia and a ton of good cheer!
“Serving as the show’s host will be Dr. Jason Altieri, who is the music director of the Atlanta Pops and associate conductor for the Reno Philharmonic.
“The Holly Jollies with Chloë Agnew of Celtic Woman, and Atlanta Braves’ favorite tenor Timothy Miller, along with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, will make you laugh, make you cry and brighten up your holiday season — 1940s style!â€
Agnew is a singer, songwriter and actress from Dublin, Ireland. Agnew gained fame for her integral part as one of the original (and youngest) members of the internationally acclaimed music group Celtic Woman from the age of 14.
Perhaps most widely recognized for his stirring renditions of “God Bless America†during the seventh-inning stretch of Atlanta Braves’ home games, Miller has extended his exposure well beyond the concert stage.
Soloist for two Georgia Gubernatorial Inauguration Ceremonies, featured artist promos for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, and featured artist in The Atlantan Magazine “Patrons and Players†rounds out a growing list of memorable career highlights. In addition to being a sought after performer, Miller is also an assistant professor of voice and music at his alma mater, Morehouse College.
