SPINDALE —The “Christmas With Elvis: A Tribute to the King” show will feature Shelby native Travis Powell as the star at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 in The Foundation Performing Arts Center, Isothermal Community College, 28 ICC Loop Road, here.

Regardimg the show, an event promotion stated, “Powell will be singing many of Elvis’ No. 1 hits, as well as some of his Christmas favorites, backed by the TCB Experience Band and the Carolina Quartet... 

“We wouldn’t want you to have a ‘blue Christmas,’ so join us and get ‘all shook up’ into the holiday spirit.” 

Powell was born into a musical family with roots in Southern gospel and his love for Elvis’ music began at a young age. His grandmother made him his very first Elvis jumpsuit at the age of 5 — after which his passion to perform as Elvis blossomed.
