HENDERSONVILLE —  “Broadway Swings,” a concert featuring four local musicians, will be performed at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Hendersonville Theatre, 229 S. Washington St., here.

The four performers “will perform memorable songs from ‘The Great American Songbook’ – an enduring canon of the most important and influential American popular songs that began in the early 20th century,” a Hendersonville Theatre event promotion noted.

“These beloved songs also became jazz standards and the group will perform these standards in a jazz-style while providing a bit of history and trivia about the songs and musicals from which the tunes originated.”
