GREER, S.C. — The Carolina Coast Band featuring Rhonda McDaniel will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. July 16 in the outdoor amphitheatre at Greer City Park at 301 E Poinsett St., here.

The Carolina Coast Band will perform Carolina beach music, as well as the hits from Motown in particular, and rhythm and blues in general, and “oldies” in the monthly Tunes in the Park free summer concert series. 

The Carolina Coast Band evolved in 2013 from the efforts of three former members of The Out-Of-Towners Band, as well as others from well-known regional beach music and rhythm and blues and soul groups from Williamston.

As for the band’s lead singer, McDaniel, she started early in the business, joining her first band, Southern Comfort, at age 13.

Attendees of the Greer concert are urged to bring lawnchairs and/or blankets. Admission is free.
