FRANKLIN — The two-act musical production “Footloose: The Musical” will be performed by The Overlook Theatre Company with its opening show at 7:30 p.m. June 24 at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts, 1028 Georgia Road, here.

“Footloose” also will be performed at 7:30 p.m. June 25, July 1-2 and 8-9. 

Regarding the show, a promotion stated, “The explosive movie musical bursts onto the live stage! With dynamic new songs augmenting the powerhouse hits from its bestselling Oscar-nominated score, ‘Footloose’ celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness.”
