NEWBERRY, S.C. —  A Janis Joplin tribute show  — featuring Amy Lynn — will be held at 8 p.m. May 20 at the Newberry Opera House at 1201 McKibben St. here.

Regarding the show, an event promotion stated, “Horns. Soul. Sass. When Amy Lynn performs on stage, she delivers that rare emotional performance few can duplicate. This seven-piece machine is all about the traditional Memphis-Motown, soul, and rock style for which Janis Joplin was famous.
