MAULDIN, S.C. — Mauldin is putting a spin on its annual tree-lighting with its first Beachin’ Christmas gala featuring the Rhythm City Band from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Mauldin Outdoor Amphitheater at 1010 E. Butler Road.
The festivities will include live “holiday-style†Carolina beach music, a holiday market, pictures with Santa, the annual tree-lighting “and some jolly extras that will help make your spirits bright!†an event promotion stated. “Plus, you don’t want to miss the ‘great reveal’ we have in store for 2022!â€
An intermission in the music is scheduled at 7 p.m., at which point the annual tree-lighting ceremony will be held — after which the band will perform for the rest of the gala.
Parking and entry are free — and lawnchairs and/or blankets are welcome. While outside food and beverages are prohibited, food and beverage vendors will be serving on-site. Leashed dogs are allowed at the event. Smoking, skateboards and bicycles are prohibited.
Providing live music for listening and/or dancing is the nine-piece Rhythm City Band, based in Greer, S.C., and billed “as the Upstate’s most versatile band performing music from all genres.â€
The event’s hosts are the City of Mauldin and the Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce,
“So bring your chairs and blankets — and dancing shoes — for a holly, jolly time!†Mauldin’s Beachin’ Christmas promotion stated.
