From Staff Reports
HENDERSONVILLE — After COVID-19 restrictions forced the Bounty of Bethlehem to cancel its annual free Christmas dinner in 2020, the event is returning to a new location — and with safety protocols making it a take-out-only meal.
The meal, offered to anyone, will be available for pick-up-only from 12:30 to 4 p.m. (or until the volunteers run out of food) Dec. 4.
Immaculalta Catholic School hosted the ecumenical event for almost all of its 38 years, but the school has been required to remove its commercial kitchen to comply with requirements to receive a STEM Lab grant.
Instead, the meal will be prepared — and available for pickup — just a few blocks away — at the Salvation Army at 239 Grove St.
