Will justice prevail? Time to put Trump in prison

I wonder how history will judge our infamous 45th president, Donald J. Trump. 

 Four years of lies, hateful divisive rhetoric, misinformation, blatantly accepting the far right white supremacist cult and other assorted extremist groups (Q-anon, Proud Boys, etc.) and last but not least, (in my opinion) his orchestrating the January 6th insurrection attempt on our capitol in Washington, D.C., and denying any and all impending charges and throw in his extra marital affairs plus his figure-fudging tax filings for good measure. 

With so much proof of wrongdoings, former president Donald J. Trump should be found guilty as charged.  

Finally, the thug who participated in the violent mob that trashed the capitol resulting in the deaths of five people was unbelievably sentenced to just 8 months jail time.

Will Trump’s evil-doings bring a similar punishment?

Governor asks everyone to get COVID-19 vax now

I’m reaching out with an important update about COVID-19 in North Carolina. Please take a moment to read to the end.

As in states across the country, North Carolina’s rate of COVID-19 cases is steadily increasing, up to its highest peaks in months.

By now, you may have heard of the delta coronavirus variant. This variant is spreading quickly and is an even deadlier threat to those who are not vaccinated. It doesn’t matter your age or race. If you are not vaccinated, you are at great risk.

But we know how to protect ourselves from the delta variant, friend. The vaccines work. They are safe and highly effective. They are our way out of this pandemic.

We are hearing from doctors about people in the ICU begging for the vaccine right before they are put on a ventilator. By then, it’s too late.

If you are vaccinated, consider speaking to unvaccinated friends and family to let them know why you chose to get a shot.

If you have concerns about getting a vaccine, talk to your doctor. They will explain the benefits of getting vaccinated.

It will protect you and prevent future variants, like delta, that could emerge to threaten our health and economic recovery.

Do it for yourself. Do it for your family. Do it for kids under 12 who can’t get one yet. Do it today.

Daily Planet given grade of ‘F’ for (alleged) misspelling

When I attended college (University of Nebraska, arts and sciences degree), Warren Frankie would give me a grade of “F” for a mispelled name in writing for the mass media (i.e. journalism).

Your front-page story (Aug. 1-14 edition) “DA favoring lawbreakers...” gets an “F.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: Morrison’s letter to the editor included a suggested headline of “Grade F from the homeless.” He noted that his “home” is at AHOPE Day Center of Homeward Bound WNC.

As for Lance’s first name, he prefers to be called “Rondell,” but his given name is “Randell,” which appears in his email address. So either name is technically correct.

Demon-possessed posse needs to be challenged

The left and its demon-possessed posse want you to believe you’re in grave danger of the “delta variant.”

# Facts Not Fear states: “In the history of virology, there has never, ever been a viral mutation that resulted in a virus that was more lethal. As viruses mutate, they become more contagious/transmissible and less lethal.”

Dr. Demon (Dr. Tony Fauci) just wants you to have a shot of his potion. The same crap that killed their “humanized mice” in studies, they are putting in you!

A censored CDC vaccine adverse incident report (VAERS) shows more than 440,000 reactions, among them strokes, heart attacks and death — a report of nearly 12,000 deaths in the first seven months since vaccine shots started. Within this number are 997 deaths of unborn children....

Three months into 2020 and just two weeks into lockdowns, worldwide deaths report shows 21, 297 deaths due to COVID-19 and 249,904 deaths due to suicide....

The world’s leading pediatric journal, JAMA, released a scientific study on carbon dioxide (CO2). In short, the study found that indoor levels should be kept below 1,000 ppm.

Now in some schools, levels can exceed 2,500 ppm. This can cause your child to experience lightheadedness, lack of concentration and focus. 

Now, with a mask on, CO2 levels spike from 13,120 to 13,910 ppm. I’m no doctor, but seems to me, this could cause some kind of long-term damage, to say the least!

I believe your children are at great risk, with mask mandates and teachers unions pushing the CRT (critical race theory) agenda.

Democrat says party needs to shift toward the middle

I am aiming this piece toward all of the “moderates,” “centrists” and “independents” out there because I believe that they are the only ones who have any kind of an open mind about politics these days. 

As a 1960s Bobby Kennedy-style of a “LIBERAL Democrat,” I believe that many of today’s “Progressive Democrats” are losing votes for us by how much that they overly-focus on the “identity-politics” and “cultural-wars” issues that many conservative-Republicans are also overly obsessed about.

The way that progressives pander to, suck up to, and grovel to every conceivable identity-group turns off a lot of people. But the most ridiculous one is their dwelling on one’s choice of “pronouns” as a way to identify oneself.

Let’s bring back the good old days when Democrats focused primarily on the “ECONOMIC” and bread-and-butter issues, such as protecting and enhancing the “social safety-net” social programs, including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and College Student Loans.
