HENDERSONVILLE — The annual Rhythm & Brews Concert Series, which usually is held on the third Thursday of every month from May through September, will begin a bit late this year but run an extra month longer, because of delays from following COVID-19 pandemic precautions.
Specifically, the popular free event, bringing together live music, tasty food and local beer, wine and cider in a closed-off part of South Main Street downtown, will be held July through October this year.
Each show begins with an opener at 5:30 p.m., followed by the headlining performance at 7:30 p.m.
“Kids love Rhythm & Brews, too!†an event promotion stated. “There’s a children’s area, with games and activities, in addition to a friendly atmosphere with plenty of room for little ones to dance.â€
Camp chairs and picnic blankets are welcome. Pets are not allowed.
The entertainment lineup is as follows:
• July 15: Abby Bryant & The Echoes, with opener Andrew Thelston Band.
• Aug. 19: Jamie McLean Band, with opener Hustle Souls.
• Sept. 16: Mike and the Moonpies, with opener Kenny George Band.
• Oct. 21: The Broadcast, with opener TBD.
The event’s inclement weather policy “is to delay each act by 30 minutes before moving onto the next act. If (the) headline act is unable to perform by 8 p.m., the show will be canceled. Follow the weather decisions on our Facebook page,†a press release advised.
