Cultural insensitivity seen in removal of monuments

Nobody has asked us what our monuments mean to us.  

One-half of military age men died or were permanently maimed in the war. These monuments were dedicated to them. 

Sherman said in 1864 he wanted to repopulate middle Tennessee with the people of Iowa and Minnesota. The North restricted or prohibited non-whites from living in their states.  

The U.S. government (the North) did the Tuskegee Experiments, where black men were given syphilis from 1930 to 1970.

Black slavery existed in Saudi Arabia till 1962, and has begun again in Libya after the U.S. and NATO helped overthrow Qaddafi in 2011.

Progressive Jewish leaders unfair to Cawthorn 

In recent articles about (congressional candidate) Madison Cawthorn’s visit to Hitler’s Nest, pejorative comments were made by progressive Jewish leaders to mislead others into thinking Madison is a white supremacist, even though he supports Israel and rejects BDS.  

This is an Orwellian doublethink technique used by the left combining ambiguous terms to create doubt. 

Madison, who uses a wheelchair, states, “My opponents and the disgusting members of the media would try and affiliate a disabled man with a movement that would have had me exterminated.” 

I am a politically conservative Jew and having met Madison differ on the basis of my own visit to Dachau concentration camp and another Jewish Conservative’s visit to Hitler’s nest.

During a U.S. Army Jewish Retreat in the ‘70s, a friend of mine while on duty in Germany, spent a weekend in Hitler’s Nest and slept in Goebbels’ own cabin. Five Jewish chaplains from around Europe led the retreat. They said it was a thumb in the eye of the Nazis. 

Not unlike Madison’s statement, “They weren’t celebrating evil, they were celebrating their victory over evil.”   

Millions of Jews travel to Auschwitz, Dachau and some to Hitler’s Nest as part of an important historical journey. It is hypocritical for progressive Jews to infer Madison is a white supremacist when they support Black Lives Matter, an admittedly anti-Semitic and trained Marxist organization who, along with Antifa, are destroying our country.  

We, as Jews, fear the rise of antisemitism.  In New York, 33 percent of the hate crimes against Jews are by radicalized black individuals. And yet black leaders make no effort to intervene.  Unfortunately, when Democratic Jews in the House of Representatives had an opportunity to pass a resolution against anti-Semitism, they failed to act and lost an opportunity to stem these hateful crimes.  

While others on the left call Madison a racist, he dismisses their accusations with, “My fiancé is half African-American and I will have biracial children.”  

With all the negative press Madison has been getting (another Kavanaugh and Trump hit job this past week), I always try to keep things in perspective in regard to the validity and seriousness of accusations.

How easily the Democrats forget Bill Clinton’s new use for a cigar in the oval office and his semen on Monica’s skirt. And his impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. Or Representative John Conyers taking $27,000 from his tax payer-funded office budget and paying off the female staff member who was fired for resisting his sexual advances. Plus other lewd accusations made by sworn affidavit. The brazen hypocrisy of the left — will it ever end?

The government has paid more than $17 million in taxpayer money over the last 20 years to resolve claims of sexual harassment, overtime pay disputes and other workplace violations filed by employees of Congress.

Because of Madison’s ability to overcome his serious injuries, he gained three important qualities most politicians are lacking — compassion, humility and determination. Let’s give him our support.

A silver lining in crisis? Doctors’ books on health

I see a real silver lining in this crisis. The state of Americans’ health is poor and the healthcare system is near collapse. 

What are we to do? 

The truth is that the new science of epigenetics (not really so new anymore) and our growing understanding of the microbiome are leading to greater medical and health self-empowerment. 

We can become our own “doctors,” if we take the time to understand how we are in control of our own health outcomes. 

Natural human immunity is our birthright. If we take proper care of ourselves, then vaccines or genetic interventions are not required to build and defend robust health.

It has become ever more clear that the rise of modern diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes are diseases of lifestyle. 

Lifestyle controls our health destiny. This has been known in certain medical circles for many years and has just recently led to the publication of many books on the subject by qualified doctors.

I recommend the works of Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Joel Fuhrman and Dr. William Li, for starters. Read up on it — and take control of your own health.

The worst lie of all? When Trump took oath of office

Of the over 20,000 documented lies that Donald Trump has told the American people as president, none is worse than the lie he told when he took the oath of office.

He swore to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States and, instead, has done everything he can to undermine democracy, justice and the separation of powers outlined in the Constitution.

He has demonstrated he would prefer a government and the powers enjoyed by hhis favorite dictator, Vladimir Putin, in an oligarchical society like Russia, benefiting the millionaire/billionaire class over a democracy of, for and by the people.

Rather than the “more perfect union” the Constitution instructs us toward, he has used division, derision and hatred to consolidate his base and, while fancying himself a strongman, the coronavirus pandemic has exposed his complete incompetence.

He must never be allowed to swear on the Bible to lie to the American people again. He and every Republican politician who has fallen in lockstep with him MUST be defeated soundly in the coming election.

The preservation of democracy, justice, decency, honor and a government working for the people in a sustainable, unified and healthy 21st century America is at stake.

Kamala Harris’ eligibility for VP office challenged 

There is a difference between “citizen” and “natural-born citizen.”

In “Understanding Citizenship” by KrisAnne Hall, she explains how our Founders established the criteria of natural-born citizen upon our president for a very important reason.

A person who is born of just one parent who is a citizen of the United States is a citizen by birth, but not a natural-born citizen. Someone cannot hold or have held dual citizenship with a foreign country and be a natural-born citizen. 

The fact that we are confused by this qualification, or perhaps even wish to alter this qualification, must be because we do not understand WHY this qualification was established in the first place. So, before we take a stand either way, we must consider the reasons why this qualification was established by the framers of the American Constitution.

The whole reason the president must be a natural-born citizen is because our framers had a history full of foreign kings imposing foreign law and foreign favor upon the people and they knew how dangerous foreign influence was to Liberty. George Washington spent a great bit of effort trying to drive this understanding home in his Farewell Address of 1796.

Kamala Harris’s father was (and is) a Jamaican national, her mother was from India, and neither was a naturalized U.S. citizen at the time of Harris’ birth in 1964. 

That, according to (various) commentators, makes her not a “natural-born citizen” —and therefore ineligible for the office of the president and, hence, ineligible for the office of the vice president. 

Dem pained by his party’s pandering to minorities

A lot of conservative-Republicans tell me that Democrats pander to minority groups, and not because they genuinely care about these people, but because they need their votes.  

By 2042-2044, more than 50 percent of the USA will be non-white, and if they can get their votes, the logic goes, they will always  win the presidency and both houses of Congress.  

Alas, the godless revolt continues in America  

The revolutionaries continue their ungodly revolution, not only against the police, but any private citizen they choose to beat up or plunder.  

A prime example of how vicious some of the BLM rioters really are, can be seen in a video of a Portland, Oregon, attack, where a young man and a woman (might have been his wife) were robbed and attacked. 

After the crowd chased the man down and punched him through the window, causing him to crash, they pulled him out of his vehicle, and severely beat him, without him fighting back. Then while he was still down, the video shows, in the background, a woman starts a fast run towards the victim, and then viciously kicked him in the face, slamming the back of his head on the street hard surface.

They say — and it looks like — that that woman was wearing a black BLM shirt, with the word “Security” on it.  That is the kind of “security” America will have if these ungodly individuals take over America!

Yet, the Socialist/Abomination/Democrat Party remains silent about the chaos and murderous activities going on around the Country’s biggest cities!

They are oblivious, while most news organizations remain silent too! 

Are they all just plain scared of the monster they have helped create?

After seeing the way that woman kicked that man, it is obvious her intention was to kill him. Other bad news reported a man walked to a five-year-old girl in her yard and kill her with a shot to the head.

America has become so ungodly!
