The Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina at Asheville will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. July 7 in 117 Phillips Hall on the UNC Asheville campus. The purpose of the meeting is consideration of qualifications for appointment of an employee.

This meeting is subject to North Carolina’s Open Meetings Act.  Certain agenda items may be considered in closed session, consistent with provisions of the Act.

The UNCA Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members; eight are appointed by the UNC Board of Governors and four are appointed by the governor. The UNCA Student Government Association president, who is elected by the student body, also is a voting member of the board.
