Shelton Elizabeth Sanders, 19, a sophomore at UNC Asheville from Lumberton, was found dead in her room in Hoey Residence Hall around 11:40 a.m. last Friday.
The cause of death remains unknown, but according to UNCA campus police on Monday morning, no foul play is suspected.
Campus police, with the assistance of the Asheville Police Department, are continuing to investigate the death.
Over the weekend, UNCA made its counseling center available for Sanders?? friends and fellow students. The center can be reached at 251-6517.
