Colin Austin of the Asheville-Buncombe Aeromodelers works on a World War II-vintage P-38 Lightning glow-engine model plane during the Model Airplane Air Show on June 7 at the Buncombe County Sports Park in Enka. The participants in the radio-controlled airplane show flew both electric- and gas-powered model planes. The event was sponsored by the Buncombe Parks & Recreation Department.
