ROME, Ga. — The Asheville Tourists completed a four-game series sweep by whipping the Rome Braves 7-4 last Sunday.
Asheville (40-17) took the lead 3-2 in the fourth inning off a three-run home run smashed by Brian Rike.
The Tourists added two runs in the fifth inning, when Brian Aguailar scored on a triple by Everth Cabrera, followed by a Cabrera score on a Darin Holcomb double.
Asheville chipped in insurance runs in the eighth and ninth innings.
Registering the win for Asheville was Jhoulyys Chacin (9-1), while Randall Taylor secured the save.
