The men’s basketball team at UNC Asheville — for the first time in school history — received a single vote in The Associated Press Top 25 Poll last week.

The team, which rose three places to 12th on the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 poll after winners over Coastal Carolina and Winthrop University, was riding a seven-game winnning streak.

However, the Bulldogs were stomped by Liberty University 83-54 last Saturday night, and were expected to tumble in this week’s rankings. The loss to the Flames dropped UNCA to 18-5, 7-1.
