BLACK MOUNTAIN ó Stuart Moran, 31, of Arden won the 19th annual Sourwood 5K race for the second consecutive year, finishing in 15 minutes, 14 seconds last Saturday.

Second-place was captured by Josey Weaver, 17, of Weaverville, in 16:20 , while John Harwell, 15, of Asheville, finished third in 16:21.

In the womenís race, Mary Osada, 30, of Montreat won first place in 20:31; Shellie Sayers of Salem, Va., second in 20:39; and Tori Jones of Marshall, third in 20:58.

One hundred sixty-four runners participated in the race, sponsored by the Black Mountain Department of Recreation and Parks.
