Partisan elections decried

Radio talk-show host Matt Mittan of Ashevilleís WWNC-AM 570 addresses a rally ó in support of holding a referendum on partisan elections ó at City-County Plaza last Monday evening. City Council recently ordered Mittan expelled by police from a meeting during which he was speaking against partisan elections. Council later that night voted 4-3 to switch to party-based elections.
