Brianna Worley, a former Reynolds High basketball standout, is transferring from UNC Asheville to Division II Wingate Univrsity, UNCA coach Nancy Blose announced last Wednesday.

Wingate plays in the same conference as Mars Hill College and has the same mascot as UNCA ó the bulldog.

Worley played 88 minutes in 15 games during her freshman year at UNCA. She average 1.2 points per game and shot 30.8 percent (8-of-26) from the field.

UNCA has released Worley, thereby exempting her from the NCAAís one-year residency requirement. Thus, she is immediately eligible to play for Wingate.
