On Friday afternoon, my babies would come to my door and, after prayer, would tell me how very disturbing it was to learn that I had been canceling my annual Black History Month activities because so many people had begun to cancel their orders for the DixieOutfitter shirt with my picture on it.

The procedes from the aforementioned sales help fund my expenses because Facebook had made a “declaration” that I was a dangerous person representing dangerous organizations. 

And so it was expressed that it might be dangerous for them or their children to be seen wearing a shirt with my likeness on it.

And because Facebook (owned by Mark Zuckerberg) proclaimed that they stick by their fact-checkers’ determination in their appeals process; “we (Facebook) have continued our own fact-checking about you, and wonder if you would answer a few more of our questions?”

Yes, would be my reply, as I summarize and paraphrase all of this below...

(1) Is it true,  Mr. H.K., that you served as the chairman of the Program, Planning and Implementation Committee for the Asheville/Buncombe County Drug Commission? 

Yes. 

(2) Is it true that you served on a joint Committee for the City of Asheville/ Buncombe County Commission that re-wrote the Minority Business Plan?

Yes. 

(3) Did you serve as the first vice president and president of the Asheville Branch of the NAACP?

Yes. 

(3) Did you serve on the board of directors of the Asheville/Buncombe County Friends For Animals?

Yes. 

(4) Did you serve on board of advisors of the Southern Legal Resource Center and now (are) its chairman emeritus!

Yes. 

(5)  Are you the co-founder of the Veterans Defending Arlington National Memorial Cenotaph Shrine?

Yes. 

“Dangerous Person?”

Finally, for now, do you believe you have suffered fiscal and emotional harm because of Facebook’s proclamations that you and the organizations you represent are dangerous?

Yes — and I believe that there is a long list to include the City of Zephry Hills, Florida, the 501C3 heritage organizations of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the Southern Legal Resource Center, who believe, as I do, that they, too, have been slandered and libeled.
