“Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
LGBTQ advocacy began on credible ground – an attempt to protect the vulnerable from broad social abuse.
Somewhere along the line, that agenda was corrupted. Today’s reliance on intimidation has the once bullied playing the bully.
Excuse me while I duck.
Anger and deception are not virtues
I’m back up now – and it’s only fair that I support that declaration.
The intimidation piece is easy. The LGBTQ community lays a lot of hate on anyone who dares to challenge their view. The irony of using malice as a means to supporting an aggrieved position seems to escape their sense of fair play. The power of anger has not. It works and brings out the coward in people.
When’s the last time you saw hate and anger propping up a legitimate cause? Burning down cities to create equality? Attacking those with different political views to create unity? Mockery to support maturity? Anytime hate, anger, or malice enter the mix, darkness envelopes and love fades.
A dishonest script
The LGBTQ movement needs their angry-victim thing because truth is not on their side. Not biologically, not numerically, not factually. These good folks rely on suppositions, assumptions, pretensions, and assertions with the same persistence Bernie Sanders sells socialism as a success model.
There are several non-starters for the LGBTQ folks. Top of the list is the non-existence of chromosomal markers for anything but male or female. That doesn’t mean there aren’t DNA blips that stimulate exceptions, just that most of us are clearly programmed toward girl-boy sexuality. “I was born that way” is not a stand-a-lone assertion. Being an exception is more complex than that.
As to the why’s of gender diversity, it should come as no surprise that there are exceptions to any norm. With black and white naturally comes grey.
Sexual preferences can variously attach to safety issues with the opposite sex, modeling, psycho-social influences, conditioning through sexual abuse, those illusive DNA blips mentioned earlier, and a myriad of other sways.
Though we clumsily stumble all around this issue, at least as regards male homosexuality, there is no doubt that addictive behavior plays a part. What you practice, you become. Ask a gay guy where sex falls in their relationship search engine. Better yet, take a stroll on the wild side and peruse some of the more common same-sex dating sights for clarity on why “Grindr” is called “Grindr.”
Spoiler Alert – If you’re smirking at this befuddled lifestyle, remember that lust is only one of the seven deadly sins. There are six more eyeballing you right now.
Child abuse masquerading as love?
May one also suggest the LGBTQ movement abuses children by intentionally or otherwise encouraging early age gender exchange? For the same reason we don’t allow children to buy houses or make decisions on school attendance, eating vegetables, or brushing their teeth, casually approaching gender fluidity is a dreadful error in parental judgement. Kids shouldn’t be misused as pawns.
Terrible things are similarly being done to teens. In a hard world, and amidst internal chemical assault, all teens are vulnerable to identity confusion. It’s become popular to embrace gender fluidity as a lark.
Young people – especially girls – can easily get lost in this adolescent vulnerability and never find the way back. School administrators, teachers, and parents who’ve jumped on this trendy train are recklessly participating in a psycho-social version of abuse.
Who’s really doing conversion therapy?
There is nowhere the LGBTQ movement more surely reveals its insincerity than in their dedication to conversion therapy. Converting common identity uncertainties into an assumption of the need for gender exchange leads to advocacy as a de facto form of conversion.
Yes, that’s correct, though the LGBTQ movement relentlessly assaults the efforts of others to address gender confusion with an eye on biological realities, the LGBTQ folks are in fact the greatest practitioners of conversion therapy. Treating transgenderism as a liberating alteration casualizes realities fraught with psychological and physical traumas.
Further confirmation of the rationality shortfalls of the LGBTQ movement come from Tumblr – a popular social media outlet. Courtesy of the rainbow folks, Tumblr currently lists 112 gender variations. For revelation on this man/woman/other indulgence, note that in the entire world there are just eight species of bears.
Where should we go from here?
In the end, though the LBGTQ movement’s ‘anything goes’ narrative is widely applauded, it’s not an honest movement.
There are no easy answers on this complex matter, but two things are certain – nothing involving human identity is simple and conformist group-think is rarely a path to social justice.
God doesn’t give us any wiggle room on the directive to “love thy neighbor as thyself” and avoid judging our fellowman. The challenges and responsibilities of truth and discernment, however, remain very much in play.
It is contradiction, not condemnation, that prompts the suggestion there are some dark colors in the LGBTQ rainbow….
