Charleston Southern broke a 4-4 tie by erupting for six runs in the seventh and five runs in the ninth en route to a 15-8 win over UNC Asheville in a Big South baseball game at UNCA’s Greenwood Field this past Saturday afternoon.

Highlights for UNCA (21-30, 4-13) included Kevin Mattison’s lead-off homer in the sixth inning for his 10th of the year. In addition, Elliott Arrington registered two RBIs to tie the Bulldogs’ career RBI record of 163 by Brian Sheham from 1987-90.
