Wild Bodema and Chix with Stix (above) were among the performers at the first-ever Time for Our Power women’s conference last Saturday night in Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in downtown Asheville. The three-day gathering drew several hundred people, mostly women. Besides the keynote speakers, workshops were held throughout weekend on various topics. Among the other performers at the Saturday-night gala were Robin Cape and The Buckerettes, Sue Ford and her band, and the Sister Spirit Queens. Asheville Daily Planet Staff Photo
